Webinar for Tours Operators & Travel Agencies in October 2021
On 8th Oct 2021, the SSTP successfully hosted a Sustainable Tourism Webinar for Tour Operators/Travel Agencies on the topic “How sustainability is changing the travel industry and what tour operators/ travel agencies can do to strengthen their competitiveness”.
The objectives of the webinar were to
i) provide an overview of sustainable tourism, especially during the post-Covid-19 recovery,
ii) present the sustainable tourism criteria and indicators of the SSTP to encourage SMEs to become more sustainable,
iii) share some practical cases contributing to sustainable tourism development and,
iv) sensitize tour operators / travel agencies to improve their operations using sustainable tourism certification.
